Balloon ride on the morning of 8th July from Norwich

At 0530 on the 8th of July, 15 passengers turned up at our launch site on Bluebell road, Norwich, for their eagerly awaited Balloon trip. It was a lovely start to the day with a gentle north westerly breeze. Our pilot, Sean, for this Balloon flight, got everyone to help the crew pull the balloon out ready for inflation.

Lovely hot air balloon flight,1st July 2014

On the morning of July 1st 2014, 16 enthusiastic passengers and some of their family and friends, joined us for their balloon flight at our launch site on Bluebell Road, Norwich. It was a damp start to what was to become a very lovely morning.

A wonderful evening Balloon flight from Suffolk on 2nd June 2014

All our passengers arrived at the launch site at 'The Oaksmere', Brome near Eye, at around 6pm with some friends and family. Our pilot, Richard gave a short safety briefing before asking the passengers if they would like to help the crew set up the balloon for launch, which they all enjoyed doing. At 7.10pm they took off and headed, rather quickly, in a northerly direction taking in views of Diss Town, Shelfhanger and the surrounding countryside before landing with a bump or two at Old Buckenham Airfield ( which made for an easy retrieve for the crew !). Everyone helped the crew to pack the balloon away, then enjoyed a glass of champagne to toast a lovely evening and a wonderful flight.

The evening hot air balloon flight of 31st May 2014

The evening flight of 31st May 2014 took off from our launch site on Bluebell Road in Norwich. 16 excited passengers arrived at 1800 and helped the crew and pilot prepare the balloon for take off, at about 1910 they floated gently over the city of Norwich in an easterly direction, then headed over Trowse taking in views of Whitlingham Broad and the River Yare, before turning north and landing gently at Broadland Buiness Park in Thorpe st Andrews. The passengers helped to pack the balloon away and toasted the flight AND Ross's proposal of marriage to Lauren with a glass of champagne.

'WOW', 'wonderful experience', friday 16th may 2014

'WOW', 'Wonderful experience', just a couple of comments from the passengers on our evening flight of Friday 16th May,which took off from our Suffolk launch site at 'The Oaksmere' (previously 'The Cornwallis'), Brome, near Eye. After gently taking off on this lovely warm evening, the balloon floated in a northerly direction along the A140 towards Long Statton, taking in views over Scole, Dickleburgh and Tivershall before landing with a bump or two in a field at Tharston just after 8pm. The passengers were very enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy helping the crew pack away the balloon, we all then toasted the flight with a glass of champagne.

'Brilliant experience'

'Brilliant experience', comment after the flight from Stuart, who was a little bit nervous before flying. We took off from our launch site on bluebell road,Norwich on April 15th 2014 at around 1830 on a lovely spring evening and headed SW, floating gently over Cringleford and Hethersett, landing fairly gently in a field north of Wymondham after an hour. All the passengers helped to pack the balloon away then we toasted the flight with a glass of champagne

CONGRATULATIONS!

CONGRATULATIONS! to Christopher and Charlotte on getting engaged during a lovely evening flight on 11/04/14, from our launch site on bluebell road, Norwich. After take off we headed in a southerly direction towards Swardston then SW over Mulbarton landing at Hethel. All the passengers helped pack away the balloon with help from the landowners young son, we then toasted the flight and the engagement with a glass of champagne.

'A fantastic evening balloon ride' 13th march 2014

After a short safety briefing from Sean, our pilot for the flight, the passengers helped to unpack the balloon for the 1st flight of the season. We took off at around 4pm and headed in a SW direction towards Mulbarton floating gently between the A140 and A11, after an hour we landed in a field at Ketteringham, the passengers then helped the crew to pack away the balloon (which is always appreciated), the champagne was then popped and we toasted the flight.

5th October 2013 - a brilliant experience

A cool but bright afternoon on Sat 5th October, 16 excited passengers and some of their family and friends, arrived at our launch site on Bluebell road in Norwich. After a short briefing, we got the passengers to help us set up the hot air balloon, then took off at about 1630, heading south east out of Norwich into the Norfolk countryside, flying over some fantastic scenery, before landing very gently in a stubble field in Bergh Apton. We were greeted by a friendly farmer and his wife, who helped us to pack away the balloon then joined us all for a glass of champagne to toast the flight.

The perfect way to celebrate Fathers Day 2013

After arriving at the launch site in Norwich, on a lovely warm 'Fathers Day' evening, all the passengers and their friends and family helped to set up the balloon. At 7.40pm they rose up to take in the views of Norwich in a gentle northerly direction and headed over Norwich Airport. After a stunning hour and forty minute we landed gently on a road near Horsford at 9.20pm. After packing the balloon away, the passengers and crew toasted the flight with a glass or two of champagne. A great evening to end a great day.

What a fantastic morning at Bluebell Road on the 10th June 2013

After arriving on our launch site on Bluebell Road in Norwich, all the passengers were happy to help with the set up of the balloon and they soon took to the skies at 7.30am. Heading south westerly, floating over Mulbarton looking at the beautiful surrounding areas and soaking up the views. After an hour and twenty minutes we landed at Wreningham, to see the landowner feeding the fish in his lake that we had landed next to. The flight was toasted with a glass of champagne, what a perfect start to the day!

A loverly sunny evening over Norwich on the 18th May 2013

We arrived at our launch site on Bluebell Road in Norwich on a lovely summers evening. At 7.00pm we drifted gently to the skies in a northerly direction, getting some great views of the airport, Old Catton and Spixworth. After landing gently in a field at Largate at 8.10 everyone helped the crew to pack the balloon away and the flight was toasted with a glass of champagne.

A beautiful morning over Brome

With the help from the passengers, we took off from our launch site at the Cornwallis Hotel near Brome in Suffolk at about 7.00am on the 16th May. We travelled in a north westerly direction across the still and peaceful morning sky without a care in the world. After a good hour, we touched down landing in a school playing field in Spooner Row at 8.15am. With some much welcomed assistance from some very keen school children, who were supposed to be having breakfast and who were thrilled to see this giant balloon land in their playing field, we got the balloon packed away and finished a perfect flight with a glass of champagne to toast the morning.

Glorious Saturday Afternoon Flight Across The Norfolk Countryside

On the sunny afternoon of the 6th of October, Broadland Balloons excited passengers arrived at the Bluebell Road launch site all set for their hot air balloon ride. The passengers enthusiastically helped set up the balloon for inflation and at 16:30 they were gently lifting into the blue skies over Norwich. After flying over the outskirts of the city, G-CENX and its passenger drifted in a south easterly direction out into the Norfolk countryside passing over the small village of Framingham Earl. The balloon finally came to rest in a stubble field near the village of Bergh Apton. After landing all the passengers helped pack away the balloon eager to toast their magical flight experience with a glass of champagne.

On the early evening of the 22nd September G-CENX took off from the Cornwallis country hotel soring into the clear blue skies above. The balloon and its passengers travelled in a south westerly direction over the Suffolk countryside, flying over the picturesque villages of Thornham Magna, Cotton, Bacton and Haughley Green before landing in a stubble field at the village of Wetherden an hour and ten minutes later. Once G-CENX was packed up and put onto the back of the trailer, the passengers toasted the flight with a glass of champagne and recalled how amazing the flight was and how surprised they were at being able to see the Suffolk coastline over twenty miles away.

Fantastic morning flight over Woodforde Broadland Brewery

Broadland Balloons' excited passengers arrived at the Bluebell Road Launch site in Norwich on the slightly chilly morning of the 20th September. Everyone soon warmed up by helping to rig the balloon eagerly awaiting their flight. The balloon took off at 7:30am gently rising into the skies above Norwich and its surrounding areas. The Balloon headed in a north easterly direction flying over the city centre and then out into the Norfolk countryside before landing over 10 miles away in a stubble field near the village of Woodbastwick which is most famous for its cask ales produced by Woodforde Broadland Brewery. After packing away the balloon the passengers toasted the flight with a well-earned glass of champagne and excitedly discussed their experience of a life time.

A Sunny Evening From Bluebell Road

At 18.05 on the sunny evening of the 7th September, 16 excited passengers took to the Norfolk skies from Bluebell Road. The flight took an easterly direction over the outskirts of the city of Norwich and out into the Norfolk countryside over the River Yare before passing over Brundall and Scrumpshaw. The balloon safely came into land opposite the village pub in Cantley at 19.15, where the passengers eagerly helped pack away in order to toast the wonderful flight and fantastic evenings adventures.

Champagne Sunset Balloon Flight

On Wednesday evening the 5th of September the Broadland balloon was rigged up on our Bluebell Road launch site. The passengers all feared that the flight would be cancelled due to the breeze but the wind soon calmed down and the balloon was allowed to gently lift off the ground before heading in a South West direction. The balloon soon travelled over rural Norfolk passing over Mulbarton and Bracon Ash before landing in a stubble field near Tacolneston. The passengers were keen to celebrate the flight so helped pack away the balloon and were rewarded with a glass or two of champagne so they could toast the flight as the sun set.

G-CENX Takes To The Skies

Fantastic Evening on the 3rd September. All the passengers were excited and eagerly awaited the signal to board G-CENX. When everyone was in place, the balloon gently rose up into the sky giving its passengers a fantastic aerial view of Norfolk and headed in a westerly direction over the villages of Marlingford and Colyon before changing altitude and heading in a more north west direction passinging over the village of East Tuddenham before landing in a field near Hockering at 19:05.

Sunrise Views Of The Suffolk Countryside

On the morning of the 4th of September, Sean Simington the pilot and 16 excited passengers set off into a beautiful clear blue sky. The Balloon Ride took place from the Cornwallis Country Hotel in Brome and took to the skies at about 7:20 am. Once in the air G-CENX took a north easterly direction drifting slowly over the Suffolk countryside giving its passengers brilliant aerial views of the villages; Hoxne, Cross street, Wingfield and fressingfield. G-CENX finally came into land near the village of Metfield.

Fantastic Sunrise Balloon Ride Over The Eaton Golf Club & Norfolk Countryside

On the morning of the 3rd of September, Broadland Balloons and its excited passengers took off from Bluebell Road in Norwich at 7:20 am. The Balloon took a south easterly direction over the outskirts of Norwich passing over the Eaton Golf Club and the Hall Road Industrial area before drifting into the beautiful Norfolk countryside. The balloon finally came to land gently landing in a stubble field near the village of Framlingham Earl.

Hot Air Balloon Ride On The Evening Of Sunday 2nd September - Norfolk Countryside From The Air

On the evening of Sunday 2nd September the Pilot and Crew unpacked G-CENX from its trailer and greeted its passengers from launch site A on Bluebell Road, Norwich. At approximately 17:30 the balloon took to the skies in an easterly direction drifting over the southern outskirts of the city of Norwich, then out over the Norfolk countryside travelling above the River Yare before going over the villages of Brundall and Scrumpshaw. G-CENX and its excited passengers finally landed in a stubble field in Beighton after 1 hour 35 minutes of flying. The crew and the passengers packed away the balloon and then toasted the flight with champagne as the sun was setting. A perfect end to a fantastic flight.

Magical First Flight Of September From The Cornwallis Hotel

On the first day of September, Broadland Balloons set up from the Cornwallis Hotel in Suffolk ready for a magical sunset flight over the Suffolk & Norfolk countryside. G-CENX finally took off at 18:15 after setting up and travelled in a northerly direction. The balloon finally came to rest just outside the village of Wacton. Once the balloon was all packed away in double quick time, passengers enjoyed a nice glass of champagne, a fantastic end to a wonderful experience.

Monday 20th August - Norwich from the skies

On Monday Evening, G-CENX ascended to the skies with sixteen eager passengers onboard. Meeting at Bluebell Road in Norwich at 17:30, G-CENX took to the skies 30 minutes later giving its passengers fantastic aerial views of Norwich and its surrounding areas.

Saturday 28th July, an evening flight over Norwich, Norfolk.

On the evening of Saturday 28th July, the weather was forecast to be suitable for hot air ballooning, so the passengers arrived at Bluebell Road in Norwich at 18:00, eager to begin their aerial adventure.

Friday 27th July - a sunrise adventure!

As dawn broke on this crisp spring morning, our excited passengers and their spectators made their way to our launch site on Bluebell Road in Norwich, Norfolk. After the formalities of the morning were out of the way, our large blue hot air balloon G-CENX was prepared for flight and was soon awaiting her passengers.

Wednesday 25th July - an early morning hot air balloon flight from Norwich

At 06:00 hrs on Wednesday 25th July our excited passengers arrived on the launchsite at Bluebell Road, Norwich. The safety briefings were given, and within an hour the adventure began as hot air balloon G-CENX gently lifted the aerial explorers off the ground.

The evening hot air balloon ride of Tuesday 24th July - a beautiful summers evening!

On the evening of Tuesday 24th July, our eager hot air balloon passengers gathered at the launch site at 18:00, ready to begin their adventure of a lifetime. Once everyone was checked in, the launch site safety briefing was given and G-CENX was pulled off the trailer and prepared for flight. The passengers received their flight safety briefing in the basket, before the hot air balloon was inflated and the adventure began.

After the safety briefings had been heard and the balloon prepared for flight, the passengers climbed aboard G-CENX and began their aerial adventure, gently floating up into the crisp morning sky. They were soon drifting peacefully over the city of Norwich, heading in a south easterley direction.

Sunday 10th June, the evening flight over Norwich, Norfolk
